Overview

IACUC-Advanced is a one day workshop developed by the Scientists Center for Animal Welfare (SCAW) to train members of Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees (IACUCs). Topics presented at this educational workshop help to fulfill the training requirements in USDA/APHIS/AC Policy 15 that states "IACUC members should be trained in understanding the Animal Welfare Act, protocol review and facility inspections” however, a wide audience including administrators, principal investigators, veterinarians, regulatory personnel, and laboratory animal care staff, can certainly benefit from the workshop. The program format will let small groups discuss specific, complex topics that are relevant to IACUC functions, science, and appropriate animal welfare.

Registration & Fees

Registration for IACUC-Advanced is handled by the Scientists Center for Animal Welfare (SCAW).

Registration fee includes attendance at all sessions, orientation materials, and continental breakfast, breaks, and lunch.

The total registration fee must accompany the registration form.

IACUC-Advanced will be held at The Blackwell Hotel and Conference Center in Columbus, Ohio on The Ohio State University campus.
