Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Where can I check to see if individuals have completed the requirements to be listed on an Animal Use Protocol?

The Office of Research has developed two separate electronic resources designed to provide online access to IACUC records.

Protocol Lookup is a web-based tool that allows investigators, key personnel and additional contacts to view IACUC records related to protocols to which they are listed. The tool can also be used to check the status of Animal Use and Biosafety training, Occupational Health Program compliance, and Conflict of Interest Disclosure status.

PI Portal is another web-based tool, however limited in use to principal investigators and individuals granted special access.  Through the PROFILE tab of the PI Portal the principal investigator is able to view records of IACUC required training, Occupational Health Program compliance, and Conflict of Interest Disclosure status for individuals currently listed on a protocol.

To use either Protocol Lookup or PI Profile, individuals need an active OSU Internet Username and password.

In addition to the available web tools above, you may contact the IACUC Office at 292-4494, 292-0409, or IACUCinfo@osu.edu to inquire about specific IACUC personnel requirements.
