How do I terminate a protocol?
In order to terminate a protocol, the PI should submit a written request (e-mail or paper copy) to the IACUC Office. The following language is recommended for such a request:
“I wish to terminate OSU IACUC Animal Use Protocol (insert number here). I understand that all activities involving the care and use of animals under the protocol must cease immediately. All animals remaining under the protocol must meet the IACUC approved final disposition detailed within the protocol prior to its termination. Any activities conducted under the protocol after termination will be in direct violation of OSU, IACUC, and Federal Policies.”
